Rafael Caro Quintero joven was a prominent drug lord and one of the founding members of the Guadalajara Cartel in Mexico. He was born on October 9, 1952, in Badiraguato, Sinaloa, Mexico.
Caro Quintero became involved in drug trafficking at a young age and quickly rose through the ranks of the criminal world. He was known for his connections to powerful figures in the Mexican government and law enforcement agencies, which allowed him to operate with relative impunity for many years.
In 1985, Caro Quintero was arrested in Costa Rica and extradited to Mexico to face charges related to the kidnapping and murder of DEA agent Enrique Camarena. He was convicted and sentenced to prison, but he managed to escape in 2013 after serving 28 years behind bars.
Today, Caro Quintero remains one of the most notorious figures in the Mexican drug trade and is still wanted by authorities in both Mexico and the United States.
